Kyoto Machiya Cafe: KOBAKO, a coffee pilgrimage that transcends time and space
Walking through the quaint streets of Kyoto, you can come across some unexpected surprises. Opening the rustic wooden door, I felt like I had traveled back in time to the quiet and cozy KOBAKO Cafe.
The dim lighting illuminates the wooden tables and decorative paintings on the walls, creating a unique and time-honoured atmosphere. The owner is a friendly and warm barista who expertly roasts carefully selected high-quality coffee beans to bring out the perfect aroma.
When you take a sip of hot coffee, the rich aroma of the coffee fills your mouth, and you instantly forget all your worries. The coffee is mellow and smooth, with a perfect balance of acidity and bitterness, and a long aftertaste that makes you exclaim, "What a perfect coffee!"
Besides coffee, KOBAKO also serves light snacks such as homemade scones and cakes, which go extremely well with coffee.
At KOBAKO, you can quietly enjoy a great time over coffee or share your joys and sorrows with friends. Everything here makes me feel very comfortable and relaxed.
